Membership and Joining

As a local congregation of Ar nDraiocht Fein, (ADF) we are required to hold open and public services for our eight High Days. Thus, we cannot turn anyone away because of race, gender, religion, sexuality or disabilities. Everyone is welcome! The only request we have is for those who attend be respectful of both the Grove and the others attending.

Like any congregation, anyone is welcome to attend our events as often as they like without any further expectations. We call non-members 'Gwesti', which is Welsh for 'Guest' and we try to make every Guest feel welcomed at all times.

On the other hand, we are an open, public, spiritual order that grants Membership to any decent, friendly person who wants to join. Members have additional rights and privileges such as voting, holding office and attendance at special Members-Only events and Rituals. Members have additional obligations as well, such as paying our low annual dues, volunteering and learning more about ADF and how Red Oak Grove conducts our Rites and Rituals.

Members also gain great satisfaction from belonging to a close group of like-minded folks, who enjoy spending time together and have a great deal in common. We get together to discuss issues, play games, watch movies, listen to music, strengthen our spirituality and just delight in each other's friendship and company.

But perhaps the greatest benefits of Membership are from helping to nurture and promote what we are - an important religious group and from the special educational training and spiritual guidance that we are happy to provide.

If you have attended a few of our events and are thinking of becoming a Member, just let us know. We call the first level of Membership 'Cyfaill', which is Welsh for 'Friend' and we try to make our Friends feel loved and cared for.

And you'll love this: With your paid Cyfaill Membership also comes your first year of Membership to our parent organization, Ar nDraiocht Fein! We GIVE this to you as a benefit to your Membership. It really is joining two groups for the price of one!

Some Cyfaill ask to become full voting members of Red Oak Grove. We call full members 'Tylwyth', which is Welsh for 'Clan', and we're happy to welcome our Tylwyth as part of our Family.

So, if you're interested in expressing your spirituality with your favourite South Jersey Druids, just drop us a line and we'll be happy to chat with you more about it.
